Ricky Horton
Songwriter/Producer
Ricky Horton's musical journey began on Florida’s Space Coast, where both his parents dedicated their careers to the space center. Though space travel didn’t become his calling, music clicked instantly when 10-year-old Horton first picked up the guitar. After honing his songwriting craft and studying at Berklee College of Music, Horton spent time in Jacksonville playing in bands, serving on a worship team, and producing/mastering tracks, including one featured on MTV’s Siesta Key.
Now based back amongst the lush nature of the Space Coast, Horton unveils his introspective debut EP “Solitary Pain.” Critics have said, “Horton peels back universal layers of loneliness and doubt, while rediscovering meaning and belonging through honest lyrics that resonate.”
What sets Horton apart is his willingness to openly grapple with life’s big questions. With heartfelt authenticity, he processes issues of purpose, faith, and meaning. Yet anchoring it all is the redemptive message of Christ’s love. Having shared this intimate EP, Horton continues channeling his musical gift and spiritual reflections from his Florida home studio.
